Councilor Susan Madla-Murillo said she wishes for the newly wed 26 couples in Mariveles to put Jesus Christ at the center of their lives.

“Ang wish at prayers ko po sa mga bagong kasal ay maging sentro nila sa kanilang buhay ang ating Panginoong Hesus upang maging maayos ang kanilang pagsasama”, said the lady councilor.

She also advised them to become responsible parents to their would be children.

“Sana maging responsible silang mga magulang sa kanilang mga anak”, she said.

Mariveles LGU sponsored the wedding of 26 pregnant women to their partners on Thursday for this year’s staging of Buntis Congress.

The Buntis Congress has been one of the regular events of the annual celebration of Mariveles Liberation Day.

Mayor AJ Concepcion officiated the mass wedding held at Mariveles People’s Park.

The ceremony was witnessed by Vice Mayor Lito Rubia, other Sangguniang Bayan members, and some department heads.

Godparents and relatives of the newly wed couples joined the ceremony.

The Mariveles LGU provided wedding rings to the couples.

They were also given cakes and gifts.
